Bringing people together to build a stronger community, United Way of Lamar County’s annual Day of Action connects volunteers with local nonprofit organizations and some individuals to complete projects that may not otherwise get done.
Come and join United Way of Lamar County's 2017 Day of Action on June 24, Saturday, 8:30 am - 2 pm at the Downtown Food Pantry, 124 W. Cherry St. Get ready to spruce up the waiting area at the Downtown Food Pantry! We will be painting, adding new chairs, re-doing the kids' area, and making it a welcome space for those who come to the Pantry. We are so exictied about this opportunity to partner with the Downtown Food Pantry on this exciting project.
**Prior to June 24, we need volunteers to collect children books in English and Spanish for the Downtown Food Pantry's kids' area.
