United Way of Lamar County



  1. Donor Privacy Policy - The United Way of Lamar County has a commitment to our donors that we will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.  This policy applies to all donor information received both in person, by mail, or online as well as any electronic, written or oral communications. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.


  1. Data Security Risk Assessment Policy -  The United Way of Lamar County will adhere to best practices in order to protect all confidential or personal information contain on UWLC’s databases and files, whether electronic files or paper files. Confidential information includes sensitive personal and institutional information, and must be given the highest level of protection against unauthorized access, modification or destruction.  It is the duty of the Executive Director to identify and assess reasonably foreseeable internal and external risks to the security, confidentiality, and integrity of UWLC data. The Executive Director shall work with the Board of Directors to investigate any violation of this policy and any incident in which the security or integrity of UWLC data may have been compromised. It is the policy of the UWLC that all confidential and other sensitive information be safeguarded from unauthorized access, use, modification or destruction.

  3. Anti-Terrorism Compliance Policy - In compliance with the USA Patriot Act and other couter-terrorism laws, the United Way of Lamar County insures that all funds and donations will be used in compliance with all applicable anti-terrorist financing and asset control laws and executive orders.
